Enriched Air Nitrox
Longer bottom times. Additional safety margin to help avoid decompression sickness. Less fatigue after a dive. There are a number of advantages to enriched air diving (using an air mixture with a greater oxygen content). After taking this class you will become a certified enriched air diver and will be able to use your card to take advantage of the benefits of nitrox.

Prerequisites:

Meet one of the following:

Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization,

Be a PADI Open Water Diver course student taking the PADI Enriched Air Diver course concurrently.

- Be at least 12 years of age
We schedule our Nitrox (EANx) courses on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the shop. If you do not see a course listed please call or email and we will add a course on the first available date that you can do.

Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.
The course requires online academics, which is done at home on your computer. Takes aprox 2-4 hours.
You then you come in for a practical hands on session to the shop. No Pool required. The session at the shop takes aprox 2-3 hours. It is best that you bring your own dive computer if you have it, but if not we will provide one for you.
