Open Water Program Requirements
In order to participate in this program, you must be ...
1. At least 10 years old
2. in overall good health and complete a Medical Questionnaire (you may need a doctor's approval based on your medical history)
3. Have basic swimming proficiency and be comfortable in the water
In addition, you will need to come to the shop at least one week prior to the beginning of class for your personal scuba gear (mask, snorkel, boots & fins). You will need to complete your PADI folder and log book, and any necessary waivers for your class. You will get detailed information about logistics, requirements, equipment, pre-work, and to answer any questions you may have. This will take approximately one hour and can be done on Tuesday or Friday nights. If you are scheduled in a class, we will be reaching out to you by email with dates for you to come in before your class.
The online academic pre-work takes between 10-15 hours of study that must be done prior to class, so please plan ahead to give yourself enough time to complete.
