The Philippines and its 7000 islands is the world’s second largest archipelago and is located in the heart of the coral triangle, the epicenter of biodiversity in the world’s oceans. We are going to explore the vibrant reefs of Puerto Galera in the Oriental Mindoro region, experience some of the best muck diving on the planet in Dumaguete and visit one of the most special dive spots in the world, Verde Island.  Trips are also planned to Apo Island and to snorkel CLOSEUP with whale sharks. This trip is a must for underwater photographers with some of the rarest and most magnificent marine animals are found in abundance in these waters.  This promises to be one of the most spectacular dive trips we have ever done!
coralWe will spend seven nights in the Atlantis Resort in Dumaguete then fly to the Atlantis Resort in Puerta Galero where we will spend a further six nights. Dumaguete is recognized for incredible muck diving; Puerto Galera for reefs, walls and muck. Diving will be conducted from small dedicated dive bancas and will be limited to 6-8 divers per boat. Divesites are usually no more than 3-4 minutes boat ride from the resort. A divemaster will always accompany every group on all dives. Highlights include diving at night searching for Mandarin fishes.  You can expect to see many species of seahorses, frog fishes and brightly colored nudibranchs in addition to spectacularly colored soft corals.These resorts are renowned for both superb quality of service and meals. Your equipment will be carried onto and off the boats for you – a true white glove experience!

The cost for the trip is $3,495 and includes up to five individual dives per day, a trip to Apo Island, all meals and accommodations at the resorts, nitrox at both resorts and all flights/travel within the Philippines.  Airfare to Manila is not included.Dates: March 5 to March 18, 2017Divers of ALL skill levels are welcome.
